2011 Outfits :)

Here are just some of my favorite outfits that I came up with in 2011. I can definitely say that I've been a bit adventurous and fearless with my looks this year. And I'm really thankful for that. Of course this year wouldn't be complete without you guys who read and support this humble little style blog of mine. Thank you so much for caring to read what I have to say and post. You don't know how much this blog has come to mean to me in helping me overcome some of my insecurities and fears. And you my dear lovely readers have been so kind to me by being the best supporters ever. I love you, even though I may not know all of you personally. :)

Have a blessed new year everyone!

Candy Colors

Here's a midi skirt post yet again! It just fits my personality so much that I couldn't put it to rest yet. I think this kind of skirt gives off a vintage-y vibe to any outfit. And that's exactly why I love the midi. Let's just say I'm a bit old fashioned in a lot of ways. But back to the outfit, this reminds me of my favorite era (the 50's) because of its silhouette---what with the cinched waist, Sabrina cut neckline, and the longer skirt---so I'm quite satisfied with how this look turned out though it may be a bit too conservative for some. Haha! I wore this to the Bloggers United x Moonleaf Sendong Fundraising Bazaar on the 23rd btw. More on that on my next post!

Ahh I hope this entry doesn't strike you as too disjointed and incoherent. I'm having a hard time organizing my thoughts at the moment 'coz I can't write when it's noisy (music included). And right now I am in the middle of chaos. Chaos that is brought about by my siblings and niece who are thrashing and playing around like a bunch of eels. Add to that the constant yelping of our dog, Tyler, who gets easily excited and jealous whenever the kids would get within a few feet of each other. And my older sister is currently whispering silly things in my ear. Ayayay...why am I the only normal one in the family? Hahahaha!

Neutral Ground

I've been out with these girls for two consecutive days now but I still can't get enough of them! We went out on the 22nd and watched Immortals but it was such a bore and a huge disappointment (and we all love Greek Mythology) but we had a great laugh because we thought the title was very ironic considering that the gods were all getting killed. Haha. We basically spent the entire day laughing, eating and sharing failed love stories over Japanese food and froyos. And because they love me so much (haha), they went to support me by going to the Bloggers United Pop Up Bazaar where I sold some of my pre-loved items for the benefit of the Sendong Victims. Ahh, I am too blessed to have them in my life.

As for my outfit, I opted for a knit sweater+midi skirt look again! I'm sorry but you'll be seeing more of these in my next posts. Well, it's December and quite chilly, it's the only time when I can don knits and fuzzy pullovers without sweating like a pig. Haha.

PS. Just a few more hours 'til Papa Jesus' birthday! Merry Christmas in advance! :)

Leggy

Some outfit shots of what me and a few other bloggers (Aisa, Bestie, Sarah & Nicole) wore to the My Househusband Bloggers Presscon last Saturday. It's so interesting to see fashion bloggers huddle together in one corner of a street or an entrance way just to have their outfit photos taken one by one. Onlookers give "the stare" and maybe "the sneer" (haha!) but because everyone in the group loves dressing up, suddenly you don't feel too self-conscious and it makes all of it worth it. :)

PS. I don't know if you've noticed but I'm finally sporting the "no bangs" look! It's been 6 years since I last parted my hair in the middle with no fringe. Definitely changes my entire look too. Never thought I'd go back to this type of hairstyle. I hope you like it as much as I do! :)

My Househusband Press Conference

Christmas is a few days away and so is the MMFF! I'm sure some of you are excited for this year's line up of Filipino movies. Well, I do hope you support our very own, 'coz I do! And speaking of Filipino movies, last Saturday 50+bloggers were invited to My Househusband's Press Conference at Guilly's Timog. Let me show you what transpired that day through these photos! :)
 The early birds.

Before the presscon started, we were served delicious food by Guilly's of course!
Hosts for the day Melai and Shalala! Ang bongga lang ni Melai!
Ryan Agoncillo, Judy Ann Santos, Eugene Domingo, Rocco Nacino, and Ellen Adarna were introduced at last!
Bloggers of different niches actively participating in asking questions.
And because I am admittedly a fan of Juday (my entire family's quite fond of her actually), Ryan (because I think he's a great host although I might be biased 'coz he's an alum of my school and 'coz I dream of becoming a host on tv myself haha), Direk Joey (who wouldn't admire him? He's a great writer, a very opinionated person--in a good way--and has a real concern for Philippine TV and film industry. Read his article on Rogue Magazine's October 2011 Entertainment Issue!), and their films, I couldn't possibly miss my chance to ask a question! I asked the couple what made them trust Direk Joey and his vision as a director. I mean, it was interesting to hear why they like collaborating with him, considering the fact that Direk Joey also directed the other two films (namely: Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo and Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo) the couple starred in.

Ryan: We've worked with him numerous times already, he is a master of the middle class and I like that about him and he has integrity. Si Direk Joey kasi alam mong hindi lang sya gumagawa ng movie para lang makagawa, alam mo yun. And he's done 65 films and has bagged reputable awards.
Judy Ann: Syempre ba't hindi mo naman pagkakatiwalaan si Direk Joey diba? His stories are real and relatable. We're just so honored to be working with him all these years.
They were also asked to give an advice to showbiz couples. Ryan said: I think this is not just for showbiz couples but to any couple. When things get rough, go back to the reason why you became friends. Juday: Honesty is the best policy talaga. It's also important to laugh at your mistakes.
But I guess the question that really struck me was the one asked by a showbiz reporter. "What is the difference between a presscon with bloggers and reporters?".

Chos! Haha! But really, it was so touching to hear that they think of us that way and know that they take us seriously.
The presscon was fun and informative lang talaga. We were laughing the whole time but at the same time we were learning something new from these artists. It was also a plus that I got to hear these esteemed actors talk about their craft with a passion that will make you admire them even more. :)

Thank you to Bloggers United for organizing the presscon and to Octoarts Films and the My Househusband cast and team for having us! We truly enjoyed every bit of it!
