Daytime Sparkle

Ah, I couldn't wait for December breeze to come by anymore so I wore my first holiday inspired outfit for this year to a date to the movies instead! What, you guys can't blame me! *laughs* Anyway, I was trying to channel a Serena van der Woodsen vibe with this outfit. What do you guys think? :)

Blue Leopard

Following the introduction of Hungry Boy and Parched Girl, comes one of the many food dates that we've had since we became partners in crime. We came across Cova Tapas Y Sangria during one of those sweet languorous nights driving around in Makati looking for a new place to try out. We had wine and croquetas variadas consisting of Hungry Boy's faves namely: jamon iberico, truffle mushroom, and crab salad---though it was a bit of a let down for him because he couldn't taste the truffles even after a few bites already. (Naubos na man lang di pa din naliligayahan si Kuyey!) Also found out that the place offered buy-one-take-one Sangrias on Mondays and Tuesdays! An information which enthused Parched Girl most definitely! *laughs*

As for my outfit, Mark told me that I looked very cosmopolitan in it that night. Whatever the hell that means. Haha! All I know is I wanted to play with just two colors: blue and nude. Tried echoing the print on my shirt by wearing booties and accessories in the same print to tie in the whole look together. That's about it!

'Til the next HB & PG post!

Mouse Ears

Forgive me for wearing uggs on my 4th day in Hong Kong. My feet just had to rest from all the narrow-soled and heeled boots that I brought with me. But if it's any consolation, my pair of uggs is in chic leopard print! Haha! But I don't really regret wearing them 'coz they felt terrific to my toes! It was like walking on soft feathered carpet plus they easily matched my leopard printed scarf. Anyway, this outfit was thrown on last minute and wasn't thoroughly thought about but I quite like it. Clearly, I was still a little hungover from my Disneyland adventure hence the minnie mouse ears. :)

Tonight We Are Young

 Tonight
We are young
So let's set the world on fire
We can burn brighter
Than the sun

I mentioned on my previous post that last Saturday I had at least two outfit changes because in the morning we had a family event and in the afternoon I had to meet up with my grade school friends at Taguig. It was literally a looong day for me. Anyway, here's outfit number two! A very sparkly and loud look for a night out with ze friends! My guy friends wouldn't stop teasing me about this look btw. Kin-Yen, would squint his eyes and pretend to be blinded by the brightness of my sequined top! Boys. *shakes head* Haha!

Ever since our dear friend Pam left the Philippines for Australia, she visits the country at least once a year to bond with us here. Two years ago, she hosted one of the most memorable sleepovers we have ever had at the Holiday Inn which you can read here. Hihi. This year though, no more sleepovers for us because we literally stayed up all night! We stuffed ourselves with yummeh food at Mercato then partied the night away at Amber then Jill's at The Fort Strip. Her stay this time was shorter but it was still fun 'coz Rachelle, another Balikbayan friend of ours, was with us! Somehow, Pam brought out Rachelle's suppressed British accent because she finally had someone to talk to in straight English! Ang asar namin sa kanila: "Oh nag-uusap na naman yung dalawang foreigners" hahaha!

So if by the time the bar closes
And you feel like falling down
I'll carry you home tonight

Gray Leopard

(loose white polo- Simone's Closet| leggings- So! F.A.B | shoes and satchel-Parisian Jr.)
How was your week so far? Mine was great. One of the highlights of last week for me was when we had to bring in Filipino delicacies in school for a food tasting exercise in my wika at kultura class (Language and Culture). Our group brought some spicy Bicol Express while our rival group brought La Paz Batchoy and Suman but we still won! I was quite proud considering that I'm a Bicolana. Our food looked humble and simple (it was only made of sliced pork, coconut milk and chili, chili, chili!) right next to the "bonggang" la paz batchoy (so many ingredients were incorporated in it). Then we had to learn several dialects/words from different parts of the country and boy was it fun! My interest in Filipino mythical creatures (like the Tamawo/engkanto, sigbin--a very weird dog since its head's placed in its rear--and the aswang etc.) was piqued that a story is already forming in my head! I might just write it down one day! Haha! I mean, we Filipinos are so caught up with vampires (sad to say, but I'm guilty of that) that we fail to appreciate our very own folklore and mythical creatures which are just as interesting! Wouldn't it be cool to read a story about a Tamawo or an aswang who falls for a mortal and that could be the beginning of my not-so-original-star-crossed-lovers-story Pinoy version? So yeah, when my book comes out, hope you'll support it. Hahaha! I can't even begin to tell you how busy it got for all of us considering the fact that the school runs in a trimestral system. One day it was just the start of midterms and now we are approaching our last week for this term as it's already finals week for us! After this, hullo term break! :)

But I still like it better this way. :)

Grass Is Much Greener On The Other Side

(breton top-Tomato | culottes-Shop Capricious | satchel-Parisian | leopard turban-Flatterbuy | brogues-customized)like ink painting...
reminds me of a setting in a Jane Austen novel...
I was urging them to dance ballet with me. Well, I had fun doing it on my own. Hahaha!
Earlier today, I met up with my high school friends for a much-needed bonding sesh with them in UP. Though the weather was cloudy and rainy, it didn't stop us from having a grand time and a good laugh. The damp grass crunching beneath our feet, the rhythmic thudding of rain on the pavements, the gray cloudy sky and the chilly breeze were all very calming and soothing. Perfect for chasing our school-related anxieties (well for me anyway since classes have resumed for me already) away.

Ahh, I wish my uni had more green patches of grass! Clearly, the grass is much greener on the other side...literally. Haha!

XO.
