Tomas

Wow, this post is blogged right on time. Well, better to share it now that I'm actually in the mood to talk about my date with my high school girlfriends yesterday than wait 'til the weekend when my excitement for it has died down, right? Right.

On to the post then!

Yesterday, my CONCEPT class had a freecut ("research break", reasoned our prof) which allowed me to go home at 9:30 am (quite early eh?). Because of this early dismissal, I called for my cousin Mariel to come visit me in school and had lunch with her. After that, I met with Deb and Mel at Tomas Morato for our "Cravings date" (which was postponed waaay too many times already).
Had lunch with mi cousin at Half-time (boo, 'coz Flaming Wings was already packed with people)! Doesn't matter, I liked their chicken tempura. I swear when we first laid eyes on it, we were hesitant to try it. It's breading was white as snow (not even the flesh-colored tempura that we are all used to)! Haha! And just a 'lil fun something to share with you guys, that Iced tea right there (also from Half-time) is the main reason why I keep on coming back to that place. I'm not really a fan of juice but since it tastes like Sago Gulaman, it's got to be my fave Iced tea now! And yeah, I'm a sucker for sago gulaman. Haha! Okay sorry for rambling. After having lunch, we had unlicake (yes, you read that right!) or unlimited cake and coffee at Cravings with Mel and Deb! And then we just cam-whored the day away at the streets of Tomas which is very evident in the rest of the photos. Haha! It was a fun day and though I came home exhausted from everything that had transpired that day, I couldn't care less 'coz times like these make me feel extremely lucky for having these girls as my friends. :)

Friday I'm In Love

I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday I don't care about you
It's Friday I'm in love

My favorite day of the week. Then again who doesn't like Fridays? Usually, I can't be bothered to dress-up for school because I commute from Q.C. all the way to Taft and I don't wanna attract unnecessary attention that could put me in an uncomfortable situation. But I make an exception on Fridays. Why? It's my non-haggard school day 'coz I get to attend one class only and that's my literature elective (8:00am-9:30am). I also noticed that lately, I've been exerting extra effort to doll up 'coz in that class, (aside from the fact that I love my lit classes) I found a motivation a.k.a. crush who inspires me to get over my laziness in dressing-up for school. Haha! Plus, every Friday I fetch my mom at work and we go on dates and the woman doesn't like me going out not looking decent and pretty. Haha! So 2 weeks ago, we went on another date and she treated me to lunch and I had the yummiest salmon carbonara ever (too bad I didn't bring my cam!) then we met her officemates at UCC for dessert and coffee and while they were chit-chatting about taxes and parenting, I went to Lavish Lashes Studio to get eye-lash extensions. I love the result but the process of putting them on and the adhesive stung and my eyes were red for days I looked like I was on drugs. Haha! After that, my mom accompanied me to look for a dress that I'd wear on my friend's debut (will blog about it soon).

So yeah. This was my outfit 2 Fridays ago (though I wore tights underneath and took 'em off after class haha!). It's basically an outfit remix. But I don't really like wearing new clothes/shoes in school (baka masira due to flood and rain like my fave pair of floral oxfords huhu). I like saving 'em for dates with friends and events. Oh diba. Haha!

Hectic Fridays

(studded cardi-K2 | high-waist shorts- The Second Shop | leopard oxfords-Ichigo)
Here's an outfit post and a photodiary for last last Friday. Wore this to school (and to a few other places) but I wore sheer tights underneath 'coz there's a dresscode policy in school. Anddd...I'm back to my red lippies! Yeahzzz! I missed it!:))

I only had my PUBLISH class that day and here's what went on in that class.
Blech. Using Indesign, we did a layout of our "own" business magazine. (I wish we did a fashion mag instead, that would've made it easier and much more exciting for me. Haha!) My blockmates were all so good at it that my work looked blah and fuggly next to theirs. :/
After my class, I went to meet Rachelle in Trinoma, so that we could both go watch and support our dear friend Camille for the Ms. UST 2011 pageant. There we yelled our lungs out and woot-ed like crazy! All our efforts paid off 'coz she won 2nd runner up! *sniffs* Proud childhood friend (kababata) right here. :">
The pageant ended at around 11:30 pm so the girls spent the night and the following day (which was a Saturday) at my place. I'm telling you, having sleepovers twice in two weeks at my house really exhausted me. I'd rather have sleepovers at another friend's house, I mean, where's the fun in sleeping in your own room? (And you call that a sleepover? Haha!)

The following day, we toured Rachelle at Rn'B 'coz the last time she went there was when we were still in grade 6. (See, she just got back from the UK, so as her grade school BFFs we felt responsible to show her around the place again). But I'm not complaining, I missed her to bits! Plus I really enjoyed it when she would slip and use a British accent. We wait for it all the time. Haha!
Le sigh two Fridays in a row now that I have been constantly out with the friends and holding sleepovers at my place. Girls, next time...please let me enjoy sleeping at your homes for a change naman ha? :)))

Gray and Brown Leopard

No matter how hoochie/crazy/bold animal prints (specifically leopard prints) may seem to some people, I will continue to wear and love the print still! Which leads us to this very "animal printed" outfit post! Haha!
(cardi-Babo | tank top-The Landmark | leggings-So FAB! | bag-gifted | shoes-Blacksheep | beanie-Khush)
Another one of my "cardigan looks". Just another fuss-free, simple and comfy school outfit yet again. If you'd ask my blockmates, they'd attest that I wear cardigans to school almost on a daily basis. They're my go-to pieces when I'm running late for school, which is always. Haha! I wore this (minus the beanie) last week actually. Just forgot to put it up on the blog on time. Whoops.
And, look at these new lovelies that I got from Ichigo! What did I tell you about me lovin' animal prints? Haha! Well, got nothin' more to say! I hope you're all having a nice weekend!

'Til the next post!

Comfy Basics

Outfit post for today! But before that, lemme share these pics that I grabbed from Ms. Ana's blog, Fashionista Commuter. So Thursday afternoon, me and my friends decided to check out the stalls that were along SJ walk before heading out to class and waiting for the bell to ring when lo and behold, Anagon collection was there too! I must admit I was a bit awe-stricken upon seeing Ms. Ana herself standing right in front of me. Fellow bloggers = celebrities to me, so yeah...Haha!
(photos grabbed from Fashionista Commuter)
(Yey! A photo of us together! Nice meeting you in person Ms. Ana! I can't believe she recognized me. :D)

And now, for a proper outfit post! As you may have noticed, I wore this dress tucked in jeans when I wore it out to school. And when I arrived home, mama and I went out to go to the mall and I wore it as a dress 'coz I was sick of the jeans already.
I would like this doodle on my wrist to be a real tattoo but my mom would not give me her consent to get inked. But someday I'll probably get one fo'sho. Hee.

Today I wore something very simple and comfy to school. Really, basics are indeed very helpful (and I love them for that) when one is having a nothing-to-wear-crisis/moment. Before I entered college, I remember reading an interview of Belle Daza in a local fashion magazine asking her for advice about college fashion. While it's fun to be adventurous about dressing up, it's always good to have basic pieces in your closet that will never go out of style and will help you maximize your wardrobe. She advised college-bound teens to stock up on basics and LOTS of 'em. I hadn't realized the importance of "the basics" until now that I'm in college myself. I find it hard to mix and match pieces that are too distinct therefore making it a struggle for me to find something decent to wear to school every morning while rummaging through my jungle of clothes.

Happy Thursday everyooone, yeah! (Well, for me anyway 'coz schoolweek ends on Thursdays for me.)

'Til the next post then!
