Full On Leopard

Here's another Christmas party outfit from me. Wore this to one of our family's Christmas luncheons on the 23rd of December. I had two outfit changes on this day actually just like the previous year when I wore this exact same shoes to the same family party. I wore it during the day which you can read all about here and then styled it differently at night. Guess this is my day to night pair! :)

Tangerine Flowers

Oh dear. Look at me blogging at an ungodly hour...again. My body clock is so messed up right now, I've been waking up automatically at 3 or 4 in the morning then going back to sleep a few hours later. If I remember correctly, my previous post was also typed and published during this hour. The scenario was this: I suddenly woke up in my dorm bed. Groggily and instinctively knew it was 3-4 am. Willed myself back to sleep but just can't. Felt more alert than ever, thoughts sharper and clearer. Uttered "What-the-hell" and just grabbed my laptop and typed away. This post has been drafted for so long it's begging to be published NOW. Do bear with me and my 4am thoughts. :)

These photos were taken on a random shopping day out with my mom and meeting with my lover! (Ha-ha-ha!) This kind of outfit easily became my uniform. Sheer collared blouse, metal neckpiece hidden underneath collars, slim-fitting jeans and heels. I didn't even notice that I've been wearing too much sheer tops with collars like this until Mark pointed it out. I don't think my love affair with it will end anytime soon though. What can I say, it perfectly suits my style.

Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice

I was really surprised with Unica Hija's collection for fashion week this year. The brand has been around long enough for me to know that its style is for the ultimate girly-girl. But their collection wasn't just about frills, lace, and ruffles; they showed us that they also do other looks but still manage to stay true to their signature style. In fact, they had 40's inspired dresses with matching bonnets, 50's shape-enhancing peplums, 60's mod shift dresses, corporate wear that wasn't boring at all, preppy blouses that tickled my fancy, trendy tribal printed dresses (worn by Charo Ronquillo) and of course feminine florals. My personal favorite? Charo Ronquillo's lace and aztec printed dress. How clever of them to use the tribal print fabric as a lining for the lace dress! This is the perfect example of merging together trendy and classic pieces. The dress is lace (classic and girly), the lining is in this year's sought-after print (tribal), the cut is mullet type which again makes it feel more "now". I think it embodies Unica perfectly! See what I mean? :)
