I had been such a busy bee. So much so that for the month of August I got to publish 2 blog entries only! I don't think that has ever happened to me before until now. Forgive me. I am back to blogging now though as I had just finished with my first term as a *legit* fashion design student. Gosh. I am over the moon.
Now, now, I feel like my writing has gone rusty! Please bear with my stunted thoughts and fragmented writing! For sure I'll get my groove back soon.
Here's an outfit that I wore to a celebratory date with my main man at our new favorite wine place, Terry's at The Podium! I went for a pencil skirt because my thighs are still blemished and currently healing from ant-bites. Curse them ants. The itching is just pure torture! I was just being a sweet girl. Get it? Sweet and...ants? Alright, I'll stop. Haha! Since I didn't wanna go the prim and proper route like I did before, I made it look casual by pairing my skirt with a simple t-shirt and wedge sneakers. The result was a fresh and interesting contrast of casual and sophisticated. What do you think?

This cropped sweatshirt had been sitting in my closet for a year. My boyfriend gave this to me as his first monthsary gift to me last July and I only got to wear it now. Mark was getting tampo that maybe I didn't like it saying that by the time I'd finally don it, the world has spouted tons of crop tops already. What do you know, he's damn right. The crop top trend is in its full swing now. This whole time I was just looking for the perfect garments (a specific cut/style to my leather skirt) and accessories (chunky gold chainlink necklace which was not so readily available before) to go with it to complete the image in my head. It's not surprising at all that it takes me months/years to wear an outfit especially if I had envisioned it in a certain way. There is no way for me to just wear it out the first time styled in another look. This outfit from before took me two years to complete (click that link why don't ya). My stubbornness, being idealistic and a perfectionist (throw in a lil bit of OC) show so much through this.

I rarely wear jeans and t-shirts anymore. Last time I consistently did was in 3rd year high school when my usual get-up was comprised of a cool graphic shirt, good fitting denim and a pair of Chucks finished with long chained necklaces. When I do wear this no-fail combo now though, it's usually spruced up with not so ordinary accents like this flowery pumps, bowler hat, gold accessories and classy bag. Here's a similar outfit taken 2 years ago. And for some reason, outfits like these make me feel sexier and more womanly. I guess sometimes less is really more. But being someone who likes to dabble in various styles, I'd say it's better to mix it up sometimes and not be one note . :)

Why hello there. It's nice to be back blogging again. I've been stuck in a style rut lately hence the sudden hiatus here on blogger. Being away had been excruciating since I have always considered this blog of mine a part of myself like Voldemort's horcrux. So can I just exclaim that it feels so damn good to be typing away here on my laptop again! Woohoo!
And for my first entry for the month of February, I bring you a Valentines post! Actually, it's just a monthsary photodiary/outfit post but I figured it can pass as a Valentines post as well. Here, I aspired to make the kitchen my runway but I just fell with a thud. Allow me to recount what had transpired on our 7th monthsary celebration.
Being the self-declared protege of my cook of a sister, I surmised that I can finally conjure up a decent meal for my love. This dinner was supposed to be a surprise but the lid was blown off prematurely 'coz he had read my planner a few days prior. Even if that was so, I still continued on with the home cooked meal thing. I was happily preparing in our kitchen, feeling all mighty and good but things had gone awry the moment I abused the paprika. Boy, my dishes gave me a terrible coughing fit when it hit my throat. At least my homemade caramel syrup turned out fine 'coz my sour cream paprika chicken became chicken tikka/tandouri instead. Mark even asked if we were having Indian. Haha! I was close to tears but Mark was kind enough to finish them with much gusto. I guess that extinguishes my dream of becoming a Stepford wife. Hahaha!
As for my outfit, I thought the holes on my knit top resembled hearts, perfect for Valentines, that is if you like to take the day as literal as me. What do you think?

Merry Christmas everyone! Just got home from the mall with the family and this was my outfit earlier. My mom was so busy with the kitchen renovation in our home that she wasn't able to shop for gifts so she took us malling a few hours ago to pick our own gifts. Can't wait to show you guys what I got. I hope you're all having a splendid time with your loved ones!
