Memory, All Alone in the Moonlight...Lalala...

*Not really an outfit post...Hee. :)

Awkward photo of me pouring out some coke in my glass. Haha!

Mama and I went out on a date last Saturday. We watched the musical Cats at the CCP and boy was it awesome! Hearing Lea Salonga sing live was one of the highlights of my Saturday. Her rendition of the song Memory was truly beautiful that words aren't enough to convey how beautifully she sang it. I wish I could watch her in Les Miserables and Miss Saigon though. :)

The costumes, set design, the performances of the actors and the whole show reminded me of the days when I was so into theater and very much involved in my schools' drama clubs in HS and GS, in fact one of my earliest dream jobs as a child was to be a theater actress! Haha. Back in my elementary days, during English class we'd stage plays and in these plays I'd write my own scripts/stories and even direct and star in it. Yes, I was very much an all-around person then, but now that I'm in college, you could say that I'm more of a wallflower now. It's sad to think about this especially because I miss the me who was confident and the me who'd most likely take on the role of a leader instead of the follower. I guess, as I grow older, I just get more and more reserved. That my dears, is not good. Haha!

It was such an interesting night too 'coz the driver of the cab that we got into on our way home pleasantly surprised us by striking up some intellectual conversations with us. During the whole ride he talked of trajectories of bullets (and I was like: Ugh, physics?), theater, academic stuff and things that normal cab drivers (don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that cab drivers aren't allowed to talk of such things but c'mon, actually talk and debate about academic stuff too?) won't usually discuss with their passengers! Haha! Interesting Saturday night indeed.

Gap Feature! o_O

I know I promised you guys an outfit post today but sadly (well not really), I have to postpone it because I wanna share with you guys another post which extremely thrills me at the moment!

A few months back, the Chictopia team sent me a message informing me that my picture was chosen to be featured in a campaign with a major retailer. I was giddy about it of course and so I waited until the day that it would come out and then the months passed and I still hadn't heard from them. I thought it wouldn't come out anymore but then last night, while going through my chictopia chicblog, the ever stylish Kookie of deathbyplatforms informed me that she saw my photo on Gap's website for their 1969 Premium Jeans Campaign! Oh holy canoly it was such a sweet surprise!

Okay, so enough blabbing here's my feature:

Whoops! Embarrassing tabs showing my bestfriend's facebook account, and a google tab on how to do printscreen (I'm such a techie loser!) Hahaha!

I am so honored and humbled to be chosen and be put alongside my fave style icons Kookie, Aphrodite, Isabella of Buffalo Stance, Meg of Another Day to Dress Up and many other chictopians and stylish people! :)

To see about this outfit post click here!

So that's it for now mi dearies! I'm going to take a short break from my fashion endeavors for a while and allot time to work on my masscomm and intfilm papers now! Hey, I have two passions rememeber? (refer to previous post) Haha!

'Til the next post!

Epic Weekend! (part 2)

Part two of my Epic Weekend post...

Woke up to this last Sunday after a night of dancing and merry-making. :)

Ugh. Ugly shot. Frowning face. The morning after.

Haha! Of course we had to conduct a pseudo photoshoot in the bathroom! :D

Pamee and I. Happy birthday sweetie! :*

I now want to live in a flat in New York.

After having so much fun that weekend, I swear I had a little "hang-over" from the epicness of it all. While at school, all I'd do was daydream about my weekend. Haha! And now, it's back to reality(school) for me. This week, it's all about being busy for MassComm and IntFilm. *sighs*

Much Love,

Epic Weekend!

My friend Pamee, who now resides in Australia, visited us here in the Phil. to celebrate her 18th birthday with us last week! We had a little sleepover at Holiday Inn (her treat of course!) and it was uber fun!!! We used to hold sleepovers back in the day (ancient much? grade school days to be exact) at Pam's house and having done that again (sans Pam's house), brought back a lot of happy memories. :)

Since Holiday Inn's connected to Robinson's Galleria, we decided to do a 'lil shopping first and helped Pam find a "party outfit" for our night out and then went to eat dinner at PCH.

And since I was still craving for froyo, I dragged Camille with me to California Berry to get some.

Such cute pink spoons! :)

Mine was a combination of chunks of mangoes, bananas and a sprinkle of almonds. :)

Camille's pick was California Berry Special: chunks of mangoes, kiwis and strawberries. :)

Fooling around first before getting ready. :D

Gathering 'round the table to sing the celebrant a happy birthday song! :)

Then off we went to Eastwood to parteyyy!

Here's Cams trying out the shisha. :)

Dancing to some techno beats at Manor. It was a Saturday so naturally, it was packed with people. We didn't stay long though, we thought the DJ and his music sucked. :))

Coming back way too early at the hotel. Oh well, I guess at the end of the day, we're still home buddies and not a bunch of party animals. Haha!

Yes, I was one of the first people to sleep after arriving shortly at the hotel 'coz I am sooo not a night person. Haha!

2nd part of this post and more photos on my next blog entry!

Ciao for now!

My Bestfriend's Wedding...erm, Capping.

Had so much fun last Friday when I went out to support my HS BFF on her capping day. I was so damn happy for her that I could not help but tear up while she marched her way to her seat and during the capping ceremony. Supportive BFF much? My, my, time really does fly so fast. It was just like yesterday when Mel and I, clad in our blue and white uniforms, were just singing our hearts out in the wind in front of the classroom window during our freshman year in HS. And look at us now, she's officially a student nurse, preparing to render medical service to the people while I'm a CommArts major dealing with the media/film industry. *sighs*

This is what I wore to the event. After seeing the pics, it was then that I realized that I was lacking something here and I couldn't quite put my finger on it. And that is what I get for not planning my outfit ahead of time. Tsktsk. Oh well. (thinks to self that I would wear this exact same outfit again next time but only better) Aha! I'm a perfectionist like that. Hee. :>

Trying on Mel's nurse cap. How do I look? I guess nursing's not my thaaang. Haha!

After the looong ceremony, Mel's family treated us to dinner at Don Henrico's and the night couldn't have been more perfect! Dinner spent with my bestfriend and the food being scrumptiously Italian was the perfect combi to end my Friday night. :)

Outfit posts soon to come,
