Blue Denim & Gray Pinafore Dress + Blog Awards

Hello everyone! This was supposed to be blogged yesterday but our internet connection had gone haywire again. So glad it's ok now though. I honestly can't survive a day without browsing the net and visiting my fave blogs! I was just gone for a day (in the blogosphere) but it felt like a week for me and I'm already swamped with blog posts that I have yet to read! Haha!

Outfit post:
Wore this out on Saturday when En and I went to chill at Starbucks and finally got ourselves the sticker cards for their 2011 planner that afternoon after En went through my closet to borrow some clothes for their CFAD Week.
I tried to match her outfit by wearing something that was blue and gray as well. I wore my 11th of October denim button-down and gray F&H pinafore while En wore her blue and gray F21 romper. :)
On a different note, I was just awarded 2 blog awards by Efril of Love & a Bad Hair Day and Eunice of Legally Pinay! Thank you sooo much girls! Knowing that people actually read my blog means so much to me. At least I know now that somehow, my blog is appreciated. Haha!
But before I can claim the Versatile Blogger Award, I have to follow a few rules first!

1. Thank and link back to who gave you the award.
2. Share seven things about yourself.
3. Pass it along to seven blogs you've recently discovered and enjoy.
4. Leave your recipients a note, telling them about the award.
Seven things about me:

1. I love books so much, just as much as I love Fashion.
2. I don't own flip flops, even pambahay slippers. I don't like wearing 'em 'coz (I think) I have ugly feet and only those who have nice feet can wear 'em. Haha!
3. I love to draw.
4. The one thing I cannot leave the house without is my face powder.
5. I'm a sucker for detective stories! (books, anime, movies etc.)
6. My fave veggie is broccoli. Mmm...
7. I like wearing flats more than heels because I don't like towering over people. Heels make me feel so...so tall and conspicuous? Haha! (Like duh? I know.) :))

There. Now, I'm on to tagging 7 people! :)

It's So Studded I'm Gonna Dieee!!!

Heya guys! Sorry for the lack of blog updates, I just don't have any outfit posts to bring you this week plus I'm currently down with the flu. Sucks.

Anyhoo, It's been awhile since I last lusted after a pair of shoes. The last shoes I practically worshiped were MiuMiu's SS10 platform swallow-printed shoes! So when I saw these studded babies on Chiara's blog, The Blonde Salad, I knew I fell in love. Again. Haha! Oh how I wish I had 99 pounds with me right now. I don't even know how much that is in Peso. Haha!

They're just so studded I'm gonna dieee! Haha! This pair is not from Kandee though. Red soles and pure awesomeness, can you guess it's brand? Yep, they're Louboutins. Holy Canoly I'd kill for a pair of these. well not really, but you get the picture. Haha!

Friday Shoot!

Hi guys! Before anything else, I wanna tell you that this post will be a bit picture-heavy. But whatever. My posts have always been picture-heavy. Haha! I dunno, I guess I just like documenting whatever it is that goes on in my life (like what we do in school and stuff like that) no matter how mundane life can get sometimes.

Okaaay, moving on...

Just wanna share to y'all the photos during the photoshoot that we had last last Friday. A friend of mine who's studying at the Ateneo asked me and my college friends to model for them for their Comm. Theory project (a magazine) and being a comm. student myself, I somehow empathized with them and agreed to help 'em. Besides, I was giddy for a photoshoot as well! Haha! She asked our friends who're studying at UST and UP to model for them too, each group representing their respective universities.

Now here's how it all went in photos (BTS shots first from my cam!):
Melissa arriving at Anna's condo with a suitcase full of clothes for the shoot! We were teasing her that morning (speaking ironically here) that she wasn't exactly "prepared" for the shoot. (in Filipino: "Hindi ka naman masyadong ready nyan Meli. Haha!)
Before this photoshoot, Anna had been complaining to me that she looked exactly the same in all of her cameos here on my blog meaning, she was wearing the exact same clothes in my photos! Haha! Because of that, I styled her for her 3rd cameo on the blog hence this cute casual outfit! She was hesitant to wear the fedora and was doubting if the skirt went well with her top at first but as you can see, I managed to get her to wear them! HAHA!
Let the shoot-ing begin! (That didn't sound right. Haha!)
And here are the photos from our photogs! :)
Here we are donning our "yabang" shirts (as Raiza called it) and spelling out D-L-S-U with our arms. FAIL.
One more time. Woohoo! ANIMO La Salle Beybeh! Haha! :D
My my, that was such a fun-filled day and I'm looking forward to more photoshoots with them! I'm really glad to have helped Raiza and her team. She and Angela (our photogs) were so easy to get along with! And of course, I can't end this post without thanking my friends Anna, Abbey and Meli for agreeing to model with me and for always being up for anything! Thanks to Meli for making the effort to bring a suitcase full of clothes and to Abbey and Anna for always accommodating me into your home in Taft. I love you guys! :")

Much Love,

That's The Way It Is

Late post, mi dearies! Oh well. Better late than never right? RIGHT. After going out with En and Cams (refer to the pageant post) last last Saturday, went out with the high school friends the next day. Whew! Anyhoo, here's an outfit post last last Sunday. A very casual outfit yes, but fashion is not always and not necessarily has to be trendy and over the top. It's how fashion can make you feel while wearing your outfit even in a simple top and jeans. Such was the case here, I chose to wear a simple grey top and paired it with my trusty jeans and yet I felt very pretty and confident in it. And that, I think is the very essence of Fashion. :)

Waited for two-freakin'-hours for the girls to arrive at Mcdo Katipunan. My cellphone battery died on me at the time so I couldn't flood them with messages telling them that I was rotting in there already while waiting for them. Haha! Told them to come at around 2pm and well, they came at 4 but they were easily forgiven (lucky biatches). Haha!

Me and my facial expressions.

After drinking coffee at McCafe (I felt like I was obliged to buy something there considering I waited in there for 2 hours), we decided to have early dinner at Flaming Wings Katips.

I really love this photo. I may look too poised in my outfit shots but trust me, I'm no girly girl (and have no poise at all) when I'm not conscious of the camera and when I talk and LAUGH. Haha!

On a whim, decided to head to Eastwood after eating. This never happened before until that day. We don't do spontaneous trips. With my HS friends, we always plan where we go and what we do (which in the end, whatever we decided on won't really happen). Haha!

Tiangges in Eastwood.

And that's how I spent my weekend last last week. Seriously, this term break is the best! I don't seem to run out of moolah even though I'm always out with my different barkadas (thanks mom for financing my dates with the girls!). I think I know why she's tolerating this. See, I rarely go out (except my shopping trips of course) and she's the one who keeps on insisting that I should spend my days outside the house and not be too much of a homebody. Haha! Oh mom. :))

'Til the next post!
