Grass Is Much Greener On The Other Side

(breton top-Tomato | culottes-Shop Capricious | satchel-Parisian | leopard turban-Flatterbuy | brogues-customized)like ink painting...
reminds me of a setting in a Jane Austen novel...
I was urging them to dance ballet with me. Well, I had fun doing it on my own. Hahaha!
Earlier today, I met up with my high school friends for a much-needed bonding sesh with them in UP. Though the weather was cloudy and rainy, it didn't stop us from having a grand time and a good laugh. The damp grass crunching beneath our feet, the rhythmic thudding of rain on the pavements, the gray cloudy sky and the chilly breeze were all very calming and soothing. Perfect for chasing our school-related anxieties (well for me anyway since classes have resumed for me already) away.

Ahh, I wish my uni had more green patches of grass! Clearly, the grass is much greener on the other side...literally. Haha!

PFW: Eric Delos Santos, Jerome Salaya Ang & Sassa Jimenez

Look at the blurred background part of my photos! Definitely blurred-liscious (though not really bokeh-liscious). It's because I'm using my new 75-300mm zoom lens! Well it's not really new since I've had it for a very long time. I didn't dare use it before ('coz I didn't know how to!) plus it's damn heavy! Anyway, when my cousin Mariel shot these, she was actually a couple of houses away from where I was standing haha! This has got to be my fave outfit yet! It's comfy without sacrificing style. Easy chic. Wore this on Day 6 of PFW presenting Eric Delos Santos, Jerome Salaya Ang and Sassa Jimenez. The show was great if I do say so myself. My fave was Jerome's collection. It reminded me tremendously of McQueen. The moment the 1st model stepped foot on the runway I was captivated already. The styling was done very well. The models' hair-do reminded me of Rihanna's huge red hair-slash-Marie Antoinette while I can't help thinking that the make-up was inspired by Voldemort (prosthetics were used for the models' make-up and had slits for noses). It was uhh-mazing! Creepy beautiful FTW! I loved that the girls all looked hideous which in turn highlighted and showcased the garments beautifully! (photos courtesy of Status )
Carla and her hubby were there also! Here's a (sneaky) shot of Carla's Kermit Tesoro platforms. Fierce!
Sassa Jimenez' collection. Bold and solid colored drape-y garments dominated the runway.
Lois, Jonard, Joma, En, Mariel, Miguel and Neil.
This time I went with my cuz Mariel (while her friend Miguel tagged along), En and Rachelle.
Philippine Fashion Week 2011 was a success, I daresay. Thank you to En for (forcibly) inviting us. Hehe. If she didn't, we prolly wouldn't even think to sign up for it. We like to think of her as our agent of sorts. Haha! Anyway, next PFW I think I might sign up for myself and bring my mom and my HS friends with me. It was taxing but I loved the experience! :)

PFW: Forever 21 + Premiere A

Wore this vintage bodycon dress that I dug up from my mom's old closet on day 4 of PFW with fellow blogger friends. This dress was actually loose on me and I just altered it by hand so the insides of this dress has that extra fabric and if you look closely you'd see the crude sewing that was done by moi. Haha! But what the hell this look got me 100+ hypes on Lookbook.nu which makes me extremely elated at the moment. Haha! I call this look "Frilly Rocker" coz it's both rocker and girly at the same time what with the smokey eyes, heavy chains round my neck, platform booties that I borrowed from En (who so kindly lent it to me) that gave off that rocker chick vibe while the frilly socks that I borrowed from my 5-year-old-niece Mischa and light rose colored satchel from Trinkets Royale Manila made the look a bit girly. :)

Watched the Forever 21 show with En and Neil and it was so refreshing to see such vibrant colored outfits on the runway! Styling was impeccable, the models chosen to take part in it were all very beautiful (both men and women) and I truly loved the hair and make-up on the pretty models! It was a fun show that was very true to the style of Forever 21.
Lots of picture-taking with fellow bloggers took place after the show. I was finally able to meet Aisa, Ana, Aie whom I admire and it really turned me (and En) into fangirls. Haha! (above photo: Lois, En, Joma, Jonard and Neil Palteng)
I flipped when I saw Tricia G. and all the other F21 ambassadors at the show! Haha!
Watched my 2nd show for the night which was Premiere A and though the show got a lot of celebrities (like Geneva Cruz, Tim Yap, Iya Villania, Nikki Gil and Carla Abellana) to model their masterpieces, sad to say some of the collections didn't impress me. Still it felt great to see designers' designs sent down the runway.
Me and Jean, En's friend/classmate at Sofa. I love this girl! It was the first time we met and we hit it off completely!
Divine Lee's Dsquared platforms! Ferosh!
FANGIRL MODE: ON again! Saw Camille Co and she was sooooo stunning (as per usual) and very nice! :)
As we were about to head home, we took one last chance on getting our photos taken with Tessa Prieto! (Too bad when it was my turn to have my pic taken with her the batt of my SLR died and I'm hoping that Lois or Joma were somehow able to take a photo of me so for now here's a pic of Tessa P. with En) Haha! Well, well she was garbed in this season's IT color: Orange! Love it. :) This night was amazeballs. Tiring, yes, but definitely worth all the muscle pain. Haha!
